Order issues

Visit here if your order was damaged or defective and delivered by EFW.

You may exchange or return the item in store with a valid receipt. Online purchases can also be returned by mail using our online return center. Returns must comply with our return policy.

Some items may also be eligible for a refund or replacement request online. To begin:
  1. Access your Target account.
  2. Locate your item(s) under Orders on Target.com or under Purchases in the Target app.
  3. Select Fix an issue.
    • Fix an issue will only appear as an option for eligible items.
  4. Follow the prompts to complete your refund or replacement request.
    • You'll be able to request a refund or replacement for a Drive Up, Order Pickup or Same Day Delivery order the day after the order is delivered. 
    • Replacements ship for free, are subject to availability and will process as an even exchange. 
    • If you requested a replacement, the original item cannot be returned in the store because it will cancel the replacement request and the replacement item won't ship. You'll be issued a refund instead.
    • Refunds are issued to the original payment method in most circumstances.
      • Purchases made with a Target GiftCard will be credited back as a new Target eGiftCard.
      • Items paid for with PayPal prior to September 13, 2022, will be refunded to a Target eGiftCard, which will be added to your Target account.
  5. You’ll be provided with instructions on what to do with your item(s). 
    • If we require that the item be returned, we’ll provide a free return mailing label. 
    • For replacement requests, navigate to your order history for updates.

You may be able to report a missing item by completing a refund or replacement request online. Returns must comply with our return policy. To begin the return process:
