Q: what are internet (print-at-home) coupons?
A: Internet (print-at-home) coupons are savings from Target and manufacturers that you can access and print right from your home computer.  Coupons will clearly indicate Target or Manufacturer once printed.

Q: when do my coupons expire?
A: Your printed coupons will include an expiration date and are good through the end of the day specified.

Q: what if a Target Store didn't accept my coupons?
A: If a Target Store didn’t accept your valid printed coupon, please contact us.

Q: can I use my coupons with my Target.com purchase?
A: Most of our coupons can only be used with purchases made in Target Stores. Coupons that are redeemable on Target.com will include an 8-digit code to be entered at Checkout.

Q: how do I print coupons from Target.com?
A: Selecting and printing coupons from Target.com is easy. Just follow these steps:

  •Make sure your default printer has paper and is ready to print.
  •If this is your first time printing online coupons, you will be prompted to download a plug-in. Once installed, you can print future coupons without additional downloads (although you might be asked to re-grant permission if you’ve had browser updates, cleared cookies, etc). 
  •Look for the coupons you want and check the "select to print" button.
  •After selecting your coupons, click the "print selected coupons" button.

Q: what is a "plug-in"?
A: Plug-ins are software programs that extend the capabilities of your browser and other applications. For example, plug-ins give you the ability to play audio files, see movies, view documents in a certain format, or print coupons from your personal computer.

Q: what if I don't have a printer?
A: A printer is required to print our internet (print-at-home) coupons.  You can receive Target Mobile Coupons by signing up for Text Alerts at Target.com/mobile or by texting COUPONS to 827438 (TARGET).  Message and data rates may apply. See site for full details.

Q: why do I need to install the Savings Printer Activator plug-in to print coupons?
A: Coupons are valuable; that's why we require secure controls for distribution and printing of coupons. The Savings Printer Activator is a small browser plug-in software that provides security controls for printing coupons. Additionally, it enables high-quality coupon prints that will scan easily at checkout. Installation is quick and easy, simply follow the step-by-step instructions. Once installed, you can print future coupons without additional downloads (although you might be asked to re-grant permission if you’ve had browser updates, cleared cookies, etc).

Q: is the Savings Printer Activator safe to install on my computer?
A: Yes. The plug-in has been engineered to run seamlessly with Windows and Mac computers running widely used operating systems and browsers. During the download process, you may have noted that your browser states that it might be “dangerous” to accept the download. This warning is simply identifying that this plug-in was not developed by the original browser software developer (e.g. Microsoft). When you download or run programs from the Internet, you want to know that the program comes from a known, reliable source. That’s why, after you click the “accept” or “yes” button to download a program from the Internet to your computer, your browser uses authentication to verify the identity of the program, and that it has a valid certificate. This feature eliminates the chance of someone misrepresenting a program that is intended to be malicious or intentionally harmful.

Q: can I get the coupons without downloading your Savings Printer Activator plug-in?
A: No. However, installation is quick and easy. Simply follow the step-by-step instructions. Once installed, you can print future coupons without additional downloads.

Q: i’m having issues installing the Savings Printer Activator.  what can I do?
A: If you’re having issues downloading or installing the Savings Printer Activator, it may be for one of the following reasons:

• You don’t have a supported operating system or browser.  The Savings Printer Activator supports the following operating systems and browsers:

  •Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8 when used with the following browsers: Internet Explorer 7.x and above (64bit and 32bit); Firefox 12.x and above; Chrome 13.x and above; and Safari 4.x and above.
  •Mac OS X 10.5 (Intel based processors only) and above when used with the following browsers: Safari 4.x and above, Firefox 12.x and above and Chrome 13.x and above.
  •Coupon printing is not supported under AOL, IOS, Android, Linux, Unix or Web TV platforms, mobile devices or tablets.
• If you are using a supported browser and operating system, other computer settings may prevent you from downloading or using the Savings Printer Activator.

  •Your computer may be protected by a firewall. Please check your network and internet settings to learn how to allow for plug-in installations and provide permission for the Savings Printer Activator to communicate over the internet.
  •You may have a pop-up blocker that prevents you from seeing the installation window for the Savings Printer Activator. Please check your internet browser settings for instructions on temporarily overriding the pop-up blocker.

Q: what are "cookies"? do you use "cookies"?
A: "Cookies" are small files saved to your computer by your browser. They enable us to recognize your computer without requiring you to login. Your browser enables you to fully control "cookies". Please refer to your browser's help feature to learn more about "cookies". Many browsers offer the ability to accept or decline a cookie on a case-by-case basis. Please note that if "cookies" are turned off within your browser, you may not be able to benefit from all of the features on our site.

Q: i’m having difficulty installing the Savings Printer Activator on a public-use computer. what can I do?
A: Computers found in offices, libraries and other public settings may prevent all plug-in installations for security reasons.  Check with the network administrator to see if the settings can be changed to allow for installation of the Savings Printer Activator.

Q: i’ve installed the Savings Printer Activator, but my coupons are not printing.  what can I do?
A: If the Savings Printer Activator software plug-in was installed properly, your operating system and browser are supported, and you have not exceeded the coupon print limit, but you were still unable to print coupons, check the following:
  •Is your printer turned on? Make sure your printer is on and try printing the coupon again.
  •Is there sufficient paper? Double check your paper supply and try printing the coupon again.
  •Is the printer properly connected to your computer? Check the cable connection between your computer and your printer, and try printing the coupon again.
  •Is your default printer where you're expecting your printed coupon? If you have multiple printers connected to your computer (for example, as part of network), check to see if your current default printer is the printer where you expected to get your coupon print out. You can check the setting in your Control Panel/Printers and Faxes on Windows computers, and in your System Preferences/Print Fax on Mac computers.
  •Are the status lights on the printer indicating problems? Often, if your printer is experiencing problems, an error message or indicator light may be flashing on your printer. Please refer to your owner's manual to fix the printer’s problem, and then try printing the coupon again.
  •Are you printing to the right printer device setting? You may not print to fax machines or file-based print commands (i.e. Adobe Acrobat) or other programs that create PDFs or image files. Please check your printer setting to make sure your default printer is a regular printer. If you have a multifunction printer (fax, copy, print), please make sure that the printer is set as the default function on your computer.

Q: why does the Available Savings value change?
A: The value may change weekly and sometimes daily based on the number of offers available at that time.  New coupons become available often, so be sure to check back before each shopping trip.

 
Q: why is My Savings different than the Available Savings?
A: The dollar amounts may differ based on how many coupons you have selected to print.  The more you add, the closer your savings will be to the total Available Savings.

Q: why is the coupon no longer available to me? OR, why did I get an exceeded limit message?
A: Given that coupons are valuable, some offers have a limit as to how many times a coupon may be printed by the same guest/household, or total number of offers available in a promotion campaign. If you get an error message such as “you have exceeded your household limit” or “this coupon is no longer available”, it’s likely you’ve encountered such limit(s).
