Store Pickup

Now you can order online and pick up in store for free.

How does Store Pickup work?

Follow these easy steps:
1.  As you’re shopping on, look for items labeled eligible for Store Pickup
     or browse all Store Pickup items now.
2.  When you check out, choose Store Pickup and select the Target store where you’d like to pick up your order.
3.  Wait until you get a “ready for pickup” email before you go to the store.
4.  Visit Guest Services at your pickup location to get your item(s).

How long will it take before my order is ready?
Our Team Members strive to get your items ready for pickup as soon as possible. Here’s what you can expect:
•    Items are usually ready for pickup within 4 hours of placing an order.
•    Orders placed after 5pm local time may not be available until the following day.
•    Orders placed after store closing will be ready the following day, usually within 4 hours of store opening.
Regardless of when you placed your order, you’ll always know when it’s time to go to the store. Just keep an eye on your inbox for the “ready for pickup” email. If you chose an alternate pickup person, they’ll receive this email as well. And if you entered your mobile phone number during checkout, you’ll get a text, too.
What do I need to bring to pick up my order?
Simply show a valid ID to a Team Member at Guest Services. Your card will be charged when you pick up your order, but you will not need to show it at the store.
What does Target accept as valid ID for Store Pickup?
Please bring one of the following forms of ID, and make sure it has not yet expired.
•    Government-issued picture identification
•    State-issued driver’s license
•    State-issued ID card
•    U.S. passport
•    Military ID
•    Certificate of Citizenship
•    Certificate of Naturalization
•    Permanent Resident
•    Green Card
•    Native American Travel Photo ID 
How long will you hold my order for pickup?
We will hold your order for 2 full days after you receive your “ready for pickup” email. If it is not picked up after 2 days, we will cancel your order and return the items to the shelf. You will not be charged for any canceled items.
Can I get more time to pick up my order?
You can extend your pickup time window by 1 day when you sign in to your account or visit your order details page. You must do this before the end of your initial 2-day time window.
Can I have someone else pick up my order?
You can choose one alternate pickup person during checkout. This person can pick up your order by presenting a valid ID.

Can I add or change an alternate pickup person after I’ve placed my order?
Yes, you can add or change your alternate pickup person on the order details page or by calling 1-800-591-3869.

Can I change my pickup store after I’ve placed my order?
Sorry, but you can’t change your pickup store. You must pick up your order at the Target store you originally selected.

When will I be charged?
We will only charge your card after your order has been picked up. However, we may put an authorization hold on your card when you place your order which should be removed by your card-issuing bank once your card has been charged.
Do you offer price matching on Store Pickup items?
We can make a price adjustment to the current in-store price or a local retail competitor’s price. This must be requested at pickup by you or your alternate pickup person. Some restrictions apply. Get the details about our Price Match Guarantee
Where’s my receipt?
After your order is picked up, you will receive your receipt by email. If you need to return any Store Pickup items, please print this email and bring it along to Guest Services.
Can I cancel my order after it’s been placed?

Store Pickup orders can be canceled by calling 1-800-591-3869, requesting cancellation at Guest Services in your pickup store, or by not picking up the order within the 2-day time window. Please note that partial orders cannot be canceled.
Why did I receive a cancellation email if my time window hasn’t expired yet?
Sometimes an item unexpectedly becomes unavailable or otherwise can’t be located. We then cancel the item and send you an email to let you know as soon as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
I see a charge from Target on my card account, but I haven’t picked up my order yet. Should I be concerned?
What you are likely seeing on your account is an authorization hold. This is not an actual charge, and it will not have to be paid. This hold should be removed from your card account shortly after you pick up your order.
Please note that Target does not control how long authorization holds stay on your account. You may call your card-issuing bank if you have any further questions.
Can I redeem coupons, promo codes, or Cartwheel offers on Store Pickup items?

You can apply any eligible discount or promo code when you check out on Cartwheel offers cannot be redeemed on orders placed through, including Store Pickup items.
Can I buy an online-only item on and have it sent to the store for pickup?
We do not currently offer this service.
Can I buy an item from Target on eBay and pick it up in store?
We do not currently offer Store Pickup for items purchased from Target on

Is Store Pickup available in Canada?
We do not currently offer Store Pickup in our Canadian stores.
Why aren’t all items on eligible for Store Pickup?
Store Pickup items are currently limited to a selection of the items we stock in stores.
